FEATURE STORY November 2, 2009

Elizabeth Halseth
for Assembly District 13
I know many of my readers are in the Las Vegas
area. I urge you to support Elizabeth in the upcoming
election. She is the type of "politician" we need in this
country... namely, a non-politician! She has honesty and
integrity, a great family, great Conservative values, and is not
afraid to get in and stir things up. She also received the
Patrick Henry Award from the Army National Guard... my kind of
woman!
Elizabeth will tackle Nevada issues from the
common sense Conservative point of view that we need to undo the
awful mess these Progressive minds have led us into. She is
against raising taxes, and backdoor "fees" that the left uses when
it says "we won't raise your taxes!" She also recognizes the
need for Nevada to grow by cutting regulations and helping small
businesses, which will in turn create jobs. I love her pledge
as far as education: "To
ensure that the education budget supports classrooms rather
than bureaucracy." Of course here in California we have a
tyrannical teachers union with its umbilical cord tied to the
Democratic Party, so a statement like that would never see the light
of day.
My Nevada friends, I
suggest you go to Elizabeth's site:
www.elizabethhalseth.com
and read more about her. While your there, consider making a
donation to the campaign. Elizabeth is representative of the
type of outstanding young men and women we need to get into the
political arena and help return this country to greatness.

The Secret Service Accounts of our
Presidents!
When the book on Secret Service
eyewitness accounts of our
Presidents came out, I secretly
hoped it would reveal stories that
would affirm what my instincts told
me these men were like.
As far as my take on Progressives is
concerned, these are people who are
elitists by nature, who know more
than you do, and deep-down, know you
are not smart enough to manage your
own thoughts and affairs. So
they have to do it for you.
They are against the rights of the
individual, but rather are for the
larger rights of the government.
Although they gear their programs to
appeal to the poor and the masses,
they actually despise the little
man, and have over the last forty
years, done little to improve the
plight of the poor. They
consider themselves better than the
public. They are the ruling
class.
My view of conservatives: they
believe in the power of the
individual, they don't distinguish
between classes, but rather want to
improve conditions for ALL
Americans, without relying on
divisions by class and race.
Their values are applied equally
toward every American, and they
don't consider themselves any
different than the average American.
I am happy to say that the Secret
Service accounts of our Presidents
bear me out. The best example:

Jimmy Carter... the most hated by
all the agents. According to
their insights, this President did
not speak to anyone he considered
beneath him, which was almost
everyone. He had the same
driver for seven years, and never
spoke to him. He carried an
empty bag over his shoulder to show
he was a "common man" while his real
luggage was toted by others.
He arrived at the White House at 5:00 AM to show the
public he was "on the job" but
closed the curtains, and went back to
sleep. According to agent
accounts, he was despised by all at
the White House.
Ronald Reagan... the most loved by
the agents. A President who
was accessible and always sought the
input of the man on the street. A man who
befriended those who worked for him,
and was concerned about those around
him. A President who arrived
back at the White House from a trip,
only to be greeted by the White
House staff,
who all came running out to greet him.
He was a man who quietly gave agents
four and five thousand dollar
personal checks to people who had
written to him who were down and
out. He was the Ronald Reagan
that we all thought he was.
It seems that
these accounts bear out what I had
always thought about these two men.
Whether their personal philosophies
of government shaped their
personalities, or they were just two
different kinds of men... you be the
judge.
The book is a
fascinating read. It is called
'In The President's Secret Service'
by Ronald Kessler.

After 12 Million
Votes...
The
non-partison AT&T / Yahoo Poll is an interesting reflection of voter
sentiment. Here is the question and the results:

Even
ABC (The All Barrack Channel) Is Having Trouble With The Stimulus
Numbers

According to ABC, it is
costing the American taxpayer $160,000 fo every Stimulus job
created. How did ABC arrive at that number? At
Recovery.gov, the White House claimed 640,329 jobs have been created
or saved because of the $159 billion in stimulus funds allocated as
of Sept. 30. So let's see... 160 billion divided by 1 million.
Does that mean the stimulus costs taxpayers $160,000 per job?
It's probably much worse than that, because the Administration has
pumped up the job numbers. In some cases (and the White House
is admitting there are many mistakes) the same jobs were counted
three and even four times. Where did they learn how to do
that? Oh yeah, at ACORN!

Coming
to a town near you: Muslim
prayer-in-school allowed in New
Jersey!
I thought the new
left-fascists were putting their
anti-God practice into effect in
as many arenas as
possible: taking prayer
out of schools, trying and
succeeding to get funding away
from religious schools, getting
the Ten Commandments removed
from public buildings, banning
celebrations of Christmas,
taking "God" off our
money, etc. These
despicable people try to do all
they can to erase the moral
fiber of our country, except in
one area... Muslim religion and
rights. The only thing
they hate worse than religion,
is a lack of multi-cultural
tolerance.
This school in New Jersey
IS
allowing Muslim students to pray
ON CAMPUS during school hours in
a classroom. The daily
ritual will be allowed at the
Albert Payson Terhune Elementary
School in New Jersey. Too
bad the liberal school board
isn't as enthusiastic about the
Pledge of Allegiance!
I know it would be
politically incorrect and soooo
intolerant of the
"needs" of these
Muslims, but instead of caving
to their every demand, how about
saying, "We don't allow
prayer at school in this
country... of course you're free
to go to another country where
the rules are different."

And while we're
on the subject...
Let's give three cheers to Sarkozy and the
French, for saying thumbs down to burqas.

French President Nicolas
Sarkozy declared Monday that the Islamic burqa is not welcome in
France, branding the face-covering, body-length gown as a symbol of
subservience that suppresses women's identities and turns them into
"prisoners behind a screen."
In a high-profile speech to lawmakers in the
historic chateau at Versailles, Sarkozy said the head-to-toe Muslim
body coverings were in disaccord with French values - some of the
strongest language against burqas from a European leader at a time
when some Western officials have been seeking to ease tensions with
the Muslim world. "In our country, we cannot accept that women
be prisoners behind a screen, cut off from all social life, deprived
of all identity," Sarkozy said to extended applause of the lawmakers
gathered where French kings once held court.
"The burqa is not a religious sign, it's a
sign of subservience, a sign of debasement. I want to say it
solemnly," he said. "It will not be welcome on the territory of the
French Republic."
Finally!!!
